The focus is to upskill and enhance the skills of those who are involved in counselling and mental health work. The workshop provides practical tools through use of role plays and engaging in the activities that are used during counselling:

WORKSHOP SUMMARY:

• Gaining self -awareness of myself, the counsellor
• Characteristics of a counsellor
• Understanding the art of Communication and Active Listening
• Counselling skills with interactive role plays
• Understanding  the counselling process
• Developing a toolbox from different theoretical models
• Ethics of counselling

NB: This workshop will be split into 4 separate courses of 2 hours each. HOWEVER, it is IMPORTANT to note to that all courses have to be attended in conjunction with one another because they flow into each other. You only sign up for 1 course which is split over 4 days.
