Play Therapy is a counselling approach where games, toys and mediums such as clay, drawings and paint are used to help a child or adolescent to express their emotions, thoughts, wishes and needs. Play therapy helps children and adolescents to understand mixed feelings and work through traumatic events that they are unable to express and deal with easily.

In this course Lay Counsellors are trained in couple and marriage counselling skills. We explore the complexity of counselling two clients at one time, ethics around couples counselling and we work with each counsellor to develop practical skills.
The module aim is to increase counsellors understanding of addiction. Topics covered: Defining what addictive behaviour is and understand the different types of addiction. Gain an understanding of : the addictive drugs, addiction counselling and the neurological impact of drugs.Find out more
